  • Think Different (Steve Jobs Tribute)

    I actually never intended to purposely make a “tribute”.  I was practicing piano one day and came up with beginning chord progression completely by accident.  I thought to myself that it had elements of sadness mixed in with a bit of optimism.  For some reason I thought it would be fitting as a commemorative piece for Steve.  I took it a few steps further and decided to ahead and make it into a full scale production, using all Apple tools.  I used Logic Pro, iMovie and Steve Jobs voice itself (I guess that’s an Apple product?).  In the end, this is what I came up with.

    Some extra fun facts are that I was inspired by a short Linkin Park piece quite a long time ago called “Wisdom, Justice and Love” where they sampled Martin Luther King’s voice.  I found it pretty moving.  I was also really starting to get into Deadmau5 for the first time, so I guess you could say that this piece is what you get when you mix me, Linkin Park and Deadmau5? Not really.  I’m not quite there yet – but it’s a start!
